Which Travel Pillow Suits You Best? Introducing the FLOWZOOM Pillows

AIR, COMFY, and DREAM

A good travel pillow is one of the most effective investments for relaxed travel—but which one is the right one? The answer depends on your personal travel style: How much space is available? How long is the route? What is more important—comfort or compactness? These questions make it easy to narrow down your choice.

At FLOWZOOM, we believe that every neck pillow is destined for a specific traveler, and it is our daily mission to bring the two together. With AIR, COMFY, and DREAM, we always find the perfect travel companion.

Inflatable vs. Memory Foam

Before looking at the individual models, it helps to understand the types of materials:

  • Inflatable pillows are the most compact solution. Once deflated, they fit into any handbag, can be filled in seconds, and the firmness can be individually adjusted. They are ideal for those who travel light or have little space in their luggage. The disadvantage: they offer less structural stability than foam and require a bit of practice to fill—too little air and the head tips through; too much and the support becomes uncomfortable.

  • Memory foam pillows adapt to the individual shape of the neck and provide constant, even support—without any setup required. They are the comfortable choice for long distances and overnight flights but take up more space in luggage. Additionally, it is more important with memory foam that the neck height matches the pillow exactly. Since the pressure cannot be adjusted like with an inflatable pillow, they also do not give way laterally.

The FLOWZOOM Travel Pillows at a Glance

AIR Pillow – For those who travel light

The AIR Pillow is the most compact solution in the FLOWZOOM range. Small enough for any carry-on when deflated, it can be filled quickly thanks to a patented non-return valve. The H-shaped design allows for five different wearing options, each supporting different areas of the neck. Ideal for backpackers, carry-on travel, and anyone who wants to save space without sacrificing support.

It is available in sizes M and L. Because of the adjustable air pressure, you have good leeway regarding height, but it is important to measure your neck circumference before ordering. We recommend size M for a neck circumference up to about 33 cm, and size L for anything above that. Both sizes are available in gray or black and are shipped with earplugs and a small travel bag. Additionally, there is a hood that can be attached to the pillow with snap buttons to block out light while sleeping on a plane. The cover is removable for washing.

COMFY Pillow – The reliable all-rounder

The COMFY Pillow impresses with slow-rebound memory foam that adapts to the neck and provides even support. The velvety-soft, washable, and breathable pillowcase ensures a pleasant feel even on long journeys. The model is adjustable for different collar sizes and is suitable for both short and long-haul trips. It is available in gray and black.

Since the COMFY Adults pillow is 9.5 cm high and, unlike the AIR, cannot be adjusted in its firmness, measuring your neck height before ordering is very important. If the difference between neck height and the pillow is too great, the support effect is lost. For a neck height up to about 10.5 or 11 cm, the COMFY still provides sufficient support; at 13 cm or more, the DREAM is the right choice. For anything in between, the AIR pillows are a good option.

In the COMFY family, there is also a child's pillow, suitable for children aged three and up (available in pink and blue), as well as the COMFY size M. This is suitable for children aged six and up, also available in the same colors, but can also be worn by petite teenagers and adults. If the COMFY Adults height fits but the neck circumference is below the minimum of 35 cm, the COMFY M from the kids' collection can be a great alternative.

DREAM Pillow – For maximum support with slender necks

The DREAM Pillow was specifically developed for customers with particularly long, slender necks. With a height of 13 centimeters, the side walls are significantly higher than those of the COMFY, and the memory foam is processed to be slightly firmer—for all customers who need extra support. The pillow is individually adjustable with a Velcro fastener and has a range between approximately 32 to 39 centimeters in circumference.

The contoured design with slow-rebound memory foam precisely supports the neck, while the extra-slim back prevents the head from being pushed forward when leaning back. It is available in gray and black.

Conclusion

The most important thing is to measure well before buying—both the neck height and the neck circumference. Which material you prefer depends primarily on how much space is left in your luggage.

There isn't one perfect travel pillow for everyone—but there is a right model for every type of trip. Anyone who has traveled with the right pillow once will never want to do without it again. Your neck will thank you.
